Very awesome update to the bow overall. I love all the changes. The only thing I noticed while testing this is that if the player has a spell selected and dies, the enchanted arrow will remain on screen. This doesn't happen with the non-enchanted arrow.

Thanks for reporting it, I didn't notice.
I also added a more simplified variant of the Bow, just in case people don't care about the magic system and just want a regular bow.

And it was exactly what I was looking for a project of mine.

(Since I'm working with Doom and not Heretic, though, I made a non-magical version out of it with just poisoned and flaming arrows.
If you ever wanted to take a peek to the thing, it's all yours !)

As I said before my comment was abruptly censored. This has been a LOT of fun to play with.

As I said previously, I'm really impressed with this weapon. It was an absolute pleasure to play with it and the bow is now part of my Core Heretic gaming experience.

I like the idea, even though it's kinda buggy (it crashes when I press altfire more than three times, and when I fire at the suit of armor). While I'm not interested on adding a poison arrow, I was interested in the idea of the arrows getting stuck at certain actors (like trees and other non bleeding props). I tried implementing that idea but it didn't look convincing, so I scrapped it. Your arrow tries to do that, but it kinda warps randomly instead of staying at the altitude it was fired at.

Yeah, I wanted to have a "precise" arrow stuck on actors, but I couldn't find a way to get the proper coordinates from the "spawner" to make the warp work T_T so I had to make it warp at random coords

I had a random thought. Gothic, rather than trying to select a different elemental arrow, is it possible to make a random elemental arrow fire each time you use your altfire?

It's a big step down from selection but would still be really cool! Everytime altfire gets used, a random element arrow flies out. 

Just a thought.

The pickup sprites seem a bit too big. They make the bow look less like a bow and more like a large ballista. Also something something editor keys and numbers.

The electric arrows seem a bit pointless aside from being faster, especially compared to the ice and fire arrows. They seem to be weaker overall too, maybe you could try making the electric effect spread to nearby monsters as well.
Also I think the zoom effect shouldn't be that abrupt.
