"After Nightfalls" marks the beginning of my journey into Doom modding, initiated in the summer of 1999 alongside a former friend known as "Acidflash31." This project holds a special place in my heart as it represents my first major foray into the world of Doom map creation.
I vividly recall the summer evenings spent collaborating on maps, sitting together in front of his machine after a day at the pool. Those sessions were filled with creativity, excitement, and the shared passion for crafting immersive Doom experiences.
Though the project remains unreleased, "After Nightfalls" is a testament to our early dedication and enthusiasm. The maps we created together laid the foundation for my future work in the Doom community. This project serves as a nostalgic reminder of where it all began, capturing the essence of our early efforts and the joy of collaborative creation.

"Back to Hell" stands as the second major project in my Doom modding journey and marked my first foray into utilizing sourceports, specifically Doom Legacy 1.2, if memory serves me right. This project was an exciting venture into new technical possibilities, pushing the boundaries of what I could achieve in Doom map creation.
Despite the enthusiasm and innovation that went into "Back to Hell," a significant portion of the project was lost due to a hardware crash. However, the remnants of this endeavor still reflect the creative drive and experimental spirit that defined my early work.
"Back to Hell" was a pivotal learning experience, teaching me the importance of backups and the potential of sourceports in enhancing the Doom experience. While incomplete, it remains a testament to my growth as a mapper and the relentless pursuit of pushing Doom's limits. Judge for yourself the early sparks of creativity that have shaped my modding journey.

"Xmas Deathmatch" holds the distinction of being the first project ever released by Tormentor667. This Christmas-themed deathmatch set brings festive cheer to the Doom universe with new sprites, weapons, textures, and a delightfully looping holiday MIDI tune. Despite its low quality, the project exudes a nostalgic charm and is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Designed more for fun than for serious gameplay, "Xmas Deathmatch" is a piece of Doom history. It reflects the early stages of my journey in modding, capturing the whimsical and experimental spirit of those initial creative efforts. While the quality may be lacking, the project stands as a testament to my beginnings and the joy of holiday-themed gaming. Enjoy it for its historical significance and its ability to evoke a cozy Christmas atmosphere—just don't expect too much!
