Description:
The demon's experiments have gone too far! This time, they cut down the stock and barrel of a precious Super Shotgun. This cannot do. Show those demons how you feel by shoving this bad boy up their mouths and pull the trigger. You'll need to be that close anyways to get full damage, but you can one-shot a pinky demon, if you've got the skill. The reduced usage of ammo and the quicker draw speed is a silver lining.

The pickup sprite doesn't fit the hud sprites that much, the length of the barrels don't look any shorter than the vanilla Doom 2 SSG.
It also uses 1 shell even though it shows reloading 2.
The sounds should be converted to ogg format, and the file submitted as a pk3.

The 1 shell thing was on purpose, if you'll look in the decorate, i notified people new to modding that switching a number from 1 to 2 would change it. Otherwise, it would compete with the vastly superior super shotgun. I'll do the ogg formatting and pk3 thing though, my bad

Ah, i've got something that might be of use.

I made a really short SSG once back in the day, even did the PerKristian smooth frames for it.

The 2-shot ammo consumption is more than fine IMO when it comes to balancing, and if you ask me, this should be a SSG replacement outright instead of a Shotgun/SSG in-betweener.
Having the player choose between a risky up-close problem solver/crowd control tool or a more reliable, less dangerous longer-range alternative.

Either have it consume 2 ammo, or make it fire each barrel individually, sort of like a burst shotgun.

UPDATE: Didn't notice Gothic was talking about the pickup sprite, my bad.

Still, if you'd like my opinion on the visuals, i think the shotgun's way too far off in the edge of the screen, it should be a little closer, more alligned to the crosshairs.
And IMO it would look better if Doomguy used his off hand instead of the hand that holds the shotgun to load it. It looks a little off.
