Pretty basic weapon (not that it's a bad thing). It eats ammo indeed. Not recommended to use on high-health monsters though if you value your ammo; during testing, it took around a hundred bullets for me to kill a cacodemon.

Yeah, that's very poorly balanced, if it takes 100+ rounds to kill a cacodemon, seems like a big waste of ammo.
what I would suggest is double the damage of the pistol (8-10 damage) and make it a automatic weapon, where it only uses 1 shot per click, but when the mouse is "held down", still fires at a fast rate.
