I actually completely forgot about this weapon lol. But now that I am replaying with it again, I think I am actually going to remake this. I'd like to get some better effects for the lightning, might work on the animation a little bit, change the alt fire,, and a few other things. The core mechanic of it being a chainsaw alternate will still be there along with the ability to stun monsters of course.
I am thinking about having a little more focus on the stunning factor for this weapon. Instead of lighting projectiles that will cut through enemies I think creating a small cloud of stunning particles in front of the player that will float in the air for a little longer would be more interesting and fitting to the overall concept. Perfect for close quarter group control on weaker to mid level enemies. I'll also remove the recoil as I am now finding it to be a little irritating as well.
As for the enhanced fist with razors idea when ammo is depleted, I think I will take that idea and use it for another weapon that will have more of a focus on melee combat. I think I'll use the same weapon with a different styled colorization and other additions, as well as using both firsts maybe, and have the alternate fire be a temporary boost in power in exchange for something else. Think of these power gantlets like... makeshift Wolverine gloves with a built in steroid injector you can use on yourself... yeah, I like that. >:3c
PS: Thank you, MagicWarzard, for the pickup sprite. It looks awesome.

Just wondering if there was any update to this weapon since there was mention of reworking it.

No, nothing has been worked on as of yet due to lack of motivation and focus on another project outside this community. However, with this said I do still plan to redo this weapon. The notes listed above is still what I wish to create and will indeed get to it at some point. I'll try to work on some Doom stuff this week actually and at least try to update one of my submissions on this site. Most likely that Bear Trap... or Fire Serpents. One of these days I'll get back in the groove again and make the things I want to make.

If the above plan still stands, then it's better that this is closed (considering 3 to 4 months have passed and no progress). When you're done reworking the weapon, feel free to submit it again.
