Descent I & II textures was created by 9Rifleman
Information:
Source: Descent & Descent II
Count: 719
Palette: Truecolor PNGs
Format: Folders
Anims/Switches: ZDoom compatible
Description: Textures from Descent I & II

Credits:

Author: Parallax Software
Submitted: Rifleman

Description:
Couldn't find these anywhere, so I made them.

Included: Majority of the games' textures including ANIMDEFS plus a few bonus
sprites(useful as key replacements or new powerups).

DECORATE for the sprites - no effect added to the powerups as they can be used for many things. Keys should work the same way the original ones do.

Not included: textures of wall displays, lights and some doors - Descent allows
to have two textures combined(on on top of the other)creating the many
combinations of walls and doors/displays/lights. It would take forever
to make all the combinations, as there are about 300 backgrounds.

No sounds included.
[strike]No DECORATE for the sprites.[/strike]

This looks good, but could you define the liquids, floors, ceilings as flats. Also, by seeing the 64/64px on doors could be bigger than the size of the flat pixel size. Also, you need to use DECORATE for the keycards and powerup spheres as well.

Floors, walls and ceilings often switch positions in Descent, so most of these can be used anywhere. But I'll filter what I can.

Also, by seeing the 64/64px on doors could be bigger than the size of the flat pixel size.

Not sure I get this one, but the door looks ok ingame(see attachment). But I found other door that looks weird and I'll redo those.

Also, you need to use DECORATE for the keycards and powerup spheres as well.

I'll add that and reupload once all above is fixed. Thanks!

I appreciate it. Do you have GIMP or Photoshop? For the wall textures, I can recommend you to rescale the wall textures and it'll be awesome!

I suppose I could try to to do that, I'm sure there are tutorials - since I haven't before(I have GIMP). How would you like me to rescale it? Is there some standard to it? Sorry for the questions, this is the first time I made a pack like this...

Meanwhile, I've added DECORATE(though it's very basic, you can pick up the powerups, but they have no effect. Keys work just fine) and GLDEFS for good measure, tadaa:

I've uploaded the newer version of this, so you can see for yourself.

Items should be submitted separately, not included in the texture pack.

I'll split it from the pack and create the thread for items when I have a moment, thanks!

Took care of removing the items myself.

On a side note, those powerups look amazing for Doom, and they would fit perfectly alongside the other spherical powerups.

Thank you! I already have the items separate, was working on adding more textures(I managed to rip about 200 more), but then I found out the new batch was all corrupted thanks to an error of mine and I temporarily lost the will to finish :)

I'll submit the items separately, currently checking if I can find some more that would fit - currently there is 11 new actors(3 keys, 7 powerups and hostage pickup). And at some later point I'll update this with new textures. :)
