[UPDATE] (Power) Nailgun was created by Gothic
Nov 06, 2021 Update:
  • Added Widescreen friendly sprites.
  • Sounds converted to OGG.
  • Graphics converted to PNG.
  • Removed KEYCONF.
  • Code: Added a Tag and Weapon.SlotNumber, also the nail shots are more centered.

The WAD archive should be converted to a PK3, also you probably know what I'm about to say next, but the code should be indented properly, especially since the indentation seems to be inconsistent, the gun itself uses the old DECORATE spacebar formatting, while all the other parts of it seem to be properly formatted, except for the state labels and sequences, those should be an additional indent in.

Besides that, I think the full power nails should be different from the mini ones in more ways than just doing more damage, such as by giving the full nails a differently colored trail, and making them twice as fast, or making the small nails twice as fast while the full ones are slower, in case making them faster is more overpowered. Also the nail shots should produce decals IMO, or ideally leave stuck nails to whatever surface they hit temporarily, though that would be harder to code.

The code still has weird indentation but whatever. The sprites need to be optimized though to minimize the file size, that's my only issue with it, but I forgot to check for that yesterday. Once you optimize the PNG sprites you can update it yourself, since I probably won't be around or even awake when you are online again.

Also here is the updated thumbnail for it with the widescreen sprites.

I see nothing wrong with the way I implement indentation, this is how I always write DECORATE. The PNGs are all doom palleted, so I don't know what needs to be optimized. The thumbnail should stay as it is, the sprites are basically the same, but without being cut.
Before this gets added, I added GLDEFS for the ricochets.

What I mean when I say you should optimize the sprites, is that they are currently 87 KB in total, but if you apply lossless compression to them with SLADE, they can go down to 61 KB in size with no quality loss. If you don't know how to compress PNGs with SLADE, then here is this guide I made.

As for the thumbnail I thought we should use the full first person and world sprites for weapons ?
