[SUBMISSION] Ultra Cyberdemon was created by epicyolomaster420
INFO:
Name: Ultra Cyberdemon
Difficulty: Extremely Hard
Connection: BFGDBall & BFGDExtra(BFG Projectile), BigRocket (Bigger version of the standard Rocket)
Summon: Ultra Cyberdemon
Melee: No
Distance: Projectiles
Type: Demon
Brightmaps: No
Actor modification: None
ACS: No
DESCRIPTION:
A gigantic cyberdemon with a beefed up rocket launcer, a somewhat nerfed BFG in comparison to the player's and a boatload of health.
It also can't be drawn into infighting with other monsters, just like other monsters can't be drawn to into infighting it.
It's therefore got all the makings of a final boss monster (and probably wouldn't fit into any other role).
CREDITS:
Submitted: epicyolomaster420
Decorate: epicyolomaster420
Sounds: (edits), id Software
Sprites: id Software, Tormentor667 (Annihilator sprites)
Idea Base: Doom's Cyberdemon & BFG9000, Amuscaria's Annihilator sprites
I'd also like to thank [Tech Support] Thingie! for fixing up my pk3 (It didn't work beforehand)

It's an interesting concept, but needs plenty of work.
Some of the sprites have white pixels that need to be erased, and the BFG projectile sprites need to have its offsets aligned. Use the original BFG sprites as a reference. I assume it is supposed to be blue but it wasn't properly converted to the Doom palette so that's why it's mostly gray. If you want to use the Doom palette colors, you can use the "Colour remap" function in Slade3:
Alternatively, you can just import the recolored sprites from outside without converting them to paletted PNGs.
That yellow thing under the BFG cannon is a bullet belt, which I don't think it actually uses to fire. You should recolor it red like the rest of the wires on the cyberdemon's body. And the bullet backpack attached to its leg should be given a more tech look.
Some of the firing sprites lack the BFG flash, and it looks like only the rocket launcher is firing.
Gameplay wise, even with the "weaker" BFG attack, I think it's a little too powerful, BFG like projectiles shouldn't be spammed too often because they're not as easy to avoid and deal lots of damage. Maybe it should have separate attacks for the rocket launcher and BFG cannon, similar to the Spider Demolisher. Or it could fire 3 rockets and then a BFG shot.
I think it should be scaled down a little so it can fit better on regular maps, maybe 1.3 or 1.4 instead of 1.7.
20000 for health is too much, even if it's supposed to be a powerful boss, I think it should be something below 10000 (for reference, the Annihilator and Moloch both have 7000, and the InfernoDemon has 5000)
The credits list Tormentor for making the Annihilator, but the sprites were made by Amuscaria, Tormentor only submitted the monster.

Remember how I said in the previous post that I'll be posting an update after a few days? Whell a few days turned to a week and even after this week I still haven't gotten round to making the fixes I was supposed to (mainly because I've been busy making maps for two community mapping projects I'm currently a part of - work which I've only now managed to finnish) so as it turns out I'm gonna need a bit more time than I said I'd need (at least another few days though I'm not going to promise anything this time...)

There, after 2 weeks I finnaly managed to get round to fixing most of the issues that were outlined (as I had a lot of things to do for college and couldn't do it any earlier), but still haven't had time to go into fixing the absence of the BFG flash and erasing of the white outline (as I simply haven't had time to go and painstakingly search for where the two are an issue and go into adressing them, and probably won't have it for at least another week or two). Also I have no idea where you saw any gray in the BFG ball sprites as I myself could see them neither in SLADE nor in game (I also don't have the original sprites anymore and also have no idea what exactly you want me to color remap to as the color remap window simply presents me with too many color ranges...)
(The edited version of the zip is in my first post...)

Just posting a status update because it's now been more than a month since my last one: I'm almost done with erasing the white outline, and don't plan on changing anything else so I should be able to post the final version of this monster tommorow

There I just updated the original post with the edited version of ther monster. I took out all the white outlines, but found some parts of the images that I had already erased in previous layers of the image when I was still editing them in photo filter that somehow survived being erased and only showed up once I converted the offending png images into their palleted form (which I needed to do to bring the file size down to an uploadable size).
I tried to fix the problem by erasing in the area where the offending parts of the image were but it didn't do anything, so I'm out of ideas on how to fix that and am giving up on the issue (at least until (if) I get help on the issue that is).
What this means is that the version of the file that's in the original post now is effectively my last version that I will not be making any more changes to, unless anyone here decides to be nice enough to take a look at the offending images for me and tell me how to fix the problem - in that case I might make more changes (the offending images are:
-UCYBE1 (where there is a problematic horizontal and vertical black line under the BFG arm),
-UCYBE8 (where there is yellow and grey stuff around the blue ammo cable that's not suppose to be there),
-UCYBF6 (where there is one flame to many next to the BFG arm),
-UCYBF8 (where there is more yellow and grey stuff around the blue ammo cable),
-UCYBG5 (where there is yet more grey stuff around the blue ammo cable),
-UCYBG7 &
-UCYBG8 (where there is the same problem as in UCYBE8 & UCYBF8) )

Actually nevermind that last post, because I figured out a way to fix it and now had indeed fixed it. I updated the zip file in my first post (and had to retype the damn thing cause the text got all screwed up...) and am now done with this monster.

I'd say this monster is far from being done, the sprites still need lots of work. The recolored wire looks bad, it still has yellow borders, and some frames have missing pixels. I really can't approve this on its current state, are you sure you're done with it?

Yes I am done. I am sick and tired of making fixes to the monsters, as I've already done more than enough of those for my liking and therefore sure as hell don't intend on recoloring the wire in almost all the sprites again. I also most certainly don't care about individual mising pixels anymore either. I don't want to sound harsh or anything but this version is what you get, so you can either take it (upload it to the site) or leave it.
