Amazing concept of a monster. My only complain is that the eyes on the decapitated head should stop glowing after a short time, or just not glow, so it doesn't create unnecessary tension after it is defeated.

Is Craneo still range-banned? Has he contacted Tormentor to fix that problem?

Yep, and he hasn't bothered contacting Tormentor.
So I'm his messenger around until he's fully summoned.

I'd argue that creating tension is the point of a possessed mannequin, defeated or not

A similar idea would be to make a polymorph creature that disguises itself as normal props when the player isn't looking, like barrels, chairs, crates etc.

The Mannequin wouldn't be complete without a version that's a mannequin base only without any clothes at all (Naked that is), or maybe a transformation to an Imp on Sight or Pain.
