A single shot from this prototype can easily pierce 4 to 5 Mancubi in a row, with a mortality rate of over 50%. I guess the experiment was a success. :cool:
I like the premise, maybe go a little bit further and lower the minimum damage? But keep the big maximum damage at the high values. I think that would enhance the experimental character, like they haven't figured out the right balance yet. Just an idea I had while studying the prototype in my laboratory that is also a gun range, not sure if it's a good idea but maybe worth a try :derp:
As it is now the gun feels a little bit too powerful, let's hope it will never fall into the wrong hands...
Also I noticed the sprite offsets are a couple pixels too high when playing without statusbar.

OP updated, it now takes a more reasonable 4 hits to kill a mancubus. Also fixed the hud issue.

The projectile feels a little slow for a railgun but I like it. Neat weapon.
