Right now it's using the wrong graphic as the pickup; it's using the scope overlay instead, so it's just a huge black box when dropped into the game world. Otherwise, the scripting seems pretty tight, and the visual effect of the shot is nice. It seems a little overpowered, though; I can drop a Spider Mastermind in 3 shots (60 cells), and a Cyberdemon in 5 shots (100 cells). Considering the range and projectile speed, I would expect a little bit less damage. I can't say it isn't fun to use, though (it is definitely fun to use).

This weapon is great in my opinion, although there are some issues to begin with
1. The weapon is overpowered: As MagicWazard insisted, It really took 3 shots to kill Mastermind and Cyberdemon in 5 shots, maybe you should lower the damage alittle bit
2. The pickup sprite is screwed: I don't know if thats me or not, but I see some weird blackout box when i drop the weapon, but when i pick it, everything's fine. I don't know if thats the sprite error or not but you should need to fix it
Those are all the issues it had. I know its small but still. This weapon is still great whatsoever
Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention, You should've changed the spawn sprite to this
Spawn:
STRM H -1
Loop
because according to Slade, STRM G is the scope vision, while STRM H is pickup, i know its weird to me to say it but... just an opinion

So, any activity on this? If absolutely nothing else, the pickup sprite issue will need to be addressed. As stated below, the scope overlay is appearing instead of the pickup; NourPrince's instructions will fix that.
I also feel like it could use either a more extensive sprite edit, or perhaps a new sprite set altogether--the Dark Forces blaster rifle is already in use in the Repository, so this won't be as unique as it could be if it shares the same sprite set as another weapon (recolor or not). If you haven't already, you might want to check out ZDoom's Spriting Carnival thread, and see if anything grabs your fancy. Or, perhaps you could try the railgun from Shadow Warrior; that isn't in use by anything at the moment, and fits the spirit of the weapon (it even has a scope on it!).

It's been a year, and none of the issues/criticism have been addressed. To keep things tidy and less cluttered. I'm closing this.
