Its the next level up from the original Chaingun but more powerful.
The super chaingun is an excellent weapon to use if you are stuck in a bad situation and its a excellent weapon to use in a death battle or a boss fight.
If you are using the ragerune item on the super chaingun its 5 times more powerful then before and it will even take down a cyberdemon less then a minute or 2

This is my very first time.

For sake of comparison, I thought this might have been a DRLA rip; on the left is Hellsmith1's version of the gun, and on the right is the DRLA minigun. Admittedly, this is hardly the most original edit in the world, but I just felt the need to make sure it wasn't a straight-up rip.

I did check the file, though, and found an unused DSMINIGN, presumably taken from Skulltag. Thing is, I originally heard that sound in Espi's minigun.wad back in 2001, and that file contains no credit for the sound. Espi later used the same sound in gunspc.wad for EDGE, but his credits only say this:

Sounds are from Steel Panthers: World At War, Half-Life and it's mods,
Quake, Hexen and Steel Panthers 2. Most are modified more or less.

Though this is all a moot point, because DSMINIGN isn't actually used; DSPISTOL is (correctly attributed to 3D Realms/Apogee for Rise of the Triad). If that's the sound you actually want to use on your weapon, I'd suggest renaming it and changing SNDINFO to suit, because you're currently replacing the default pistol sound as well as the sound of your weapon.

I wish I could change it to SNDINFO but I can't because I do not have a computer anymore to change the settings and it might take me a while to fix those issues.

But for the record; What do you guys think so far?

The weapon is overpowered; I took down a cyberdemon in less than ten seconds, from a decent distance, and it only cost me a hundred bullets. The poor monster couldn't even retaliate.

Oh, and this was without the "ragerune".

A few more notes:
  • The pickup message of the weapon reads: "U GOT A NEW SUPERCHAINGUN". Why is it in all caps? "U"? You mean "You". Why does it say "new" each time you pickup the weapon?
  • The obituary has the same all-caps thing for "superchaingun".
  • Remove the KEYCONF lump and the DoomEd number (editor number). These aren't needed for the purpose of the submission.
  • Convert the sprites to PNGs and sounds to OGGs.
  • Don't replace original game stuff. In your case: DSPISTOL.
  • Please, indent your (DECORATE) code, so it's easier to read.

I agree with pretty much all the points Blue Shadow raised. This really needs revision before it can be given any serious consideration. Plus, we have about a half-dozen different chaingun/minigun variants already on the Repository; even if this was revised, do we need yet another? I think it needs a better hook than simply "shoots more bullets" to have a chance.
