ReactionTime is an integer, so the problem isn't that. The engine manipulates and uses the property for some things.MagicWazard wrote: I think ReactionTime might also be a float/fixed point value, like Speed, since it's measured in 1/35 of a second.

Made some changes:
- Changed the altfire to a plasma ball
- Increased the damage
- removed the readout & made it an optional addon
- Made the rail effects more fitting
- The pickup sprite
- The issue with reaction time.

I don't personally feel that the readout should be an optional add-on. It's a slightly odd feature for a weapon, but if that's the primary gimmick, then I'd say embrace it. I just don't feel that it should display the readout even when de-equipped, because at that point it has very little value as an actual weapon since you can get the scan benefit while using an objectively more powerful weapon.
I still feel that an alt-fire is unnecessary. The scan gimmick is interesting enough that it doesn't need two fire modes. If you want to keep both, I'd say that you should make them share the same ammo type; you can use one sprite as the "small", and the other as the "large".

At this point it's clear that read-out idea won't work. It might work for a weapon like, I don't know, some sort of scoped tech rifle. If you use the scope, you can see the information of the thing you're aiming at. But not for this weapon.
Read-out aside, the behavior is an issue. The weapon doesn't seem to know what it wants to be; it can be weak and slow (primary fire), or it can be strong and fast (alternate fire), so strong that it has the potential to rival the plasma rifle.
