[SUBMISSION] Bullet Cluster was created by Ultimate Freedoomer
Basics:
Name: Bullet Cluster
Type: CustomInventory, Ammo
Palette: DOOM
Summon: BulletCluster
Use Type: Instant
Duration: Instant
Added States: No
ACS: No
GLDEFs: No
Credits:
Submitted: Ultimate Freedoomer
Decorate: Ultimate Freedoomer
Sprite: Brutal Doom clip pickup sprite
Sprite Edit: Ultimate Freedoomer
LANGUAGE lump: Ultimate Freedoomer
SNDINFO lump: Ultimate Freedoomer
Sound: Complex doom v27 clip pickup sound
Idea base: Easy way of managing small bullet pickups in cases where the mod uses more than 1 "bullet"-type ammunition
Description:
Gives 1 small pickup's worth of each bullet-type ammo. Note to modders: unless the modder adds the relevant bullet ammo types for their mod, this pickup does nothing. For instance, if your mod's pistol, SMG, rifle, & LMG all use separate ammo from each other, you'll have to add them to this item's pickup state
Preview (before anyone asks, the pickup sprite is a placeholder):

I can't see how useful this is. It's being advertised as having a specific purpose, but it's just a bare-bone CustomInventory template. If the real idea behind it is to give the modder a starting point to implement an item which adds multiple items to the player's inventory on pickup, then I suppose it's not a bad thing, but the question is: how hard is it for your average modder to create a CustomInventory that can do that? The answer is: not hard at all, and it's definitely not worth creating a submission for.
This gets a 'no' from me.

The idea seems pretty similar to the Combat Pack, which has ammo for everything (Dooms Default Weapons) & a standard backpack, with a side note from the author explaining how to add ammo for weapons not using clips, shells, plasma or rockets.
But like Blue Shadow's said, it's basically a template & after new modders get the hang of making custom inventory, it's really not got much use.
Plus the sprite is also a clip often associated to specific gun (even though how a Pistol & a Chaingun can share ammo is beyond me lol), if you look at things like the Ammo-belt on here it's got more of a "justifiable" reason to give more than 1 ammo type to different weapons.
This would better used as custom ammo clip for a machinegun or pistol rather than give ammo to all bullet sprayers.

It's similar also to the Ammo Belt.
The submission post says the sprite "is a placeholder"; so, what would the "final" sprite look like?

I'm trying to look for a good image for the final sprite. Also, this is supposed to be part of a series of "multi-type" pickup equivalents for each individual ammo type pickup. The others are the shell cluster (shell), the bomb cluster (general explosives, including rockets, mines, & launcher grenades), & the battery assortment (cell) It originated as something I made for my Brutal Doom meta-mod (hence the mag pickup), & I realized something like this would be useful for modders who wanna keep ammo category pickups consolidated in the event that the mod replaces a default ammo type with multiple ammo in that category (providing a way of having separate reserves in 1 pickup & avoiding the hassle of spawn randomizers).

If this submission was a time-saver, I wouldn't have any issue with it. But in reality, it is not.

People who create gameplay mods (weapon mods specifically) are usually capable of implementing such a feature if they wanted. I'd be effortless. Pure mappers, who might not even touched DECORATE, won't need it because they have full control over their own maps.Ultimate Freedoomer wrote: I realized something like this would be useful for modders who wanna keep ammo category pickups consolidated in the event that the mod replaces a default ammo type with multiple ammo in that category (providing a way of having separate reserves in 1 pickup & avoiding the hassle of spawn randomizers).
