So, where's the control panel hiding these days? was created by scalliano
First up, congratulations on getting the site back up and running.

I logged back in and noticed that all of my personalizations had gone (avatar, sig, etc), yet other users still have theirs. However, it seems that the profile page is completely devoid of options to edit anything.

I went to Profile in the Forum menu in the top left. After that, there is a small edit button above the top right corner of the profile screen.

Exactly, and considering that scalliano has his avatar again, he found it as well :)
