Brutal Chainsaw for Vanilla was created by DoctorBleed
This is something I've wanted for a long time and eventually just had to make myself. I forked the chainsaw from Brutal Doom, sterilized the code to remove must of the stuff that ties it into BD, and made it a standalone weapon you can use with just about any mod! It also works a little differently than BD, for the sake of balance and simplicity.

Primary Fire is a horizontal slash that deals a heavy amount of damage, easily gibbing former humans and imps. If an enemy survives the initial blow, they'll be stunlocked and their health will rapidly drain. This attack can't be cancelled except by moving away from the target, meaning for most foes it's basically an execution. A Baron of Hell can go from full health to dead in only a few seconds. However, there's a catch: until your move or your target is dead, you're stuck sawing away at them. This will leave you stationary and vulnerable. You can still run away but it'll slow you down. So be careful when and where you use it.

Alt Fire swings your chainsaw from side to side, swiping at the enemies in front of you. It isn't as effective at stunlocking your enemies but it's quick and doesn't hinder your mobility. Good for trimming groups of weak enemies or dealing a little bit of quick damage to a bigger one.

You can download it here!

I've also made an alternate version where the primary fire is just a buffed version of vanilla.

That one is here!

If you try them out, be sure to tell me what you think! My biggest concern is balance. I want it to be high risk and high reward, a slightly better version of the vanilla chainsaw that's less situation, but also has its own strategic drawbacks. I'd also like some advice on how to make the animations better if possible. They're mostly fine except for kind of a shaky handover between the fire and idle animations.
