Alright, after literally dozens of attempts and bashing my head and pulling my hair out a few times (Metaphorically), I think I managed to fix that insanely annoying wallhacking bug. I also fixed another annoying bug that caused the sound of the tank exploding to not play on the WAD submission version of the tank, while playing just fine on the original PK3 archive version, that bug was caused by a marker I had made in the WAD that had the same name as the tank explosion sound, causing a conflict.

Anyway this version is finally finished, you can download it by redownloading the file from Google Drive listed in the original post, and the demo map showing one of the uses you could have for the tank is right above this post in an attachment. Now I can finally go ahead and port all the changes I had made to the WAD version to the original PK3 archive.

The sprites on fit suprisingly well into doom, but if I was to use this I'd probably try to edit out the code that makes it flee from larger enemies, It really impacts its usability in maps with tougher demons imo

Well I just made a new minor update to the submission for that option, now you can make the tank not run away from sufficiently big enemies or other hostile tanks by turning on the User_Fearless user variable.

New minor update, I merged all the changes and updates I had made to the code for the previous WAD version of the tank to the original PK3 archive version, and I updated the ZIP file to include the original PK3 archive I had stored the tank NPC in. I did this because I convinced Tormentor667 to change the submission rules on the repository to allow PK3 archives.

Yeah I'm the one that coded it, with Freebmane making the sprites for it, and me touching them up and editing them, just like with this MBT, I plan on submitting the APC here eventually, but it uses a modified version of the Allied Marines submission that's also here on Realm667 so I doubt it'll be accepted like that, however I plan on making my own semi-advanced custom marines ( Whom I've already amassed about 170 sprites for. ), and release the marines as a standalone submission here on Realm667, then submit the APC and list the custom smart (???) marines as a dependancy/connection the APC needs, to be able to drop any actors.

I didn't receive any official word from Tormentor about this, even though when I mentioned the subject about changing the rules three weeks ago, he was on board. But, nothing was official, to my knowledge.

I think so yeah, also I didn't mention this previously, but in the time it took me to finally fix the issue of the tank firing through walls, I also fixed and added a bunch of other things such as reworking how the tank shells work and collide with tanks, to make it possible to have proper battles between friendly and hostile tanks like you can with normal NPCs. Previously the shells would just phase through an enemy tank and not do any damage, but the explosion from the shell would still damage the enemy tank. I also made it properly function with the other actor flags you can set through the editor besides the friendly flag, such as the dormant and invisible flag. etc

In that case yes I did make a simple demonstration map, the one I linked after I thought that you thought that I was lying about having made the map. And the map is pretty clearly meant to be just a demonstration of how one could use the tank in a map or mod and nothing more. It even has a bunch of mistakes and imperfections everywhere like accidental sky hacks making buildings invisible from certain positions lol.

Well I did contact him and ask him on the ZDoom forum to change the rule, and he simply told me that he agrees and has changed it, when I went to check if there was any change here on the site to the rules, I did notice that the submission rules listed on the left of the repository now say that zipped WADs or PK3s are now allowed, it says the same on every branch as well just as the Armory or Prop Stop.

However he hasn't updated the threads here on the forum to say that PK3s are allowed, and after asking him about that, he has not responded so far.

The tank appears to cause an issue with the total monster kill count. Killing everything in the demo map, for example, including the tank itself, doesn't net you a 100% kill ratio.

Is that the only other bug you could find so far ? Well either way I just fixed it, I had forgot to add -CountKill; on the tanks' turret so it doesn't count towards the kill percentage as well.

Edit: Oh look, the garbage text is back, so much for me thinking that it was finally gone since I managed to make one message that didn't have it.
