This is the Mindweaver (the beta-Arachnotron) as it appears in Legacy Of Rust. LoR uses a DeHacked lump to replace the Arachnotron (for the most part) with this version, meaning that if you did not want to replace the original Arachnotron in your mod, you'd have a lot more work to do. I have done this work for you.
Included in this zip is a wad that includes both a ZSCRIPT and a DECORATE lump, a SNDINFO, MAPINFO, and a CREDITS lump, depending on your preference and your sourceport versions, one of these two versions should be simple enough to implement. The original LoR DeHacked works great for LoR, but may not be suitable for everyone due to the limitations of DeHacked. This should offer a lot more flexibility for mods. The DECORATE and ZSCRIPT lumps are written a bit differently from each other but achieve the same result, the reason for this being that certain functions compatible with Zscript are not always compatible with Decorate.

As for the monster itself, unfortunately it doesn't work. Since you used WAD format, you have to put SS_START and SS_END markers before and after the sprites.
But since WAD files aren't allowed for submissions anyway, you should actually use PK3 format and put all sprites into the sprites folder (look at other submissions if you're unsure about the folder structure), then the game can find them automatically.
edit: actually I'm not sure about format restrictions, the beastiary submission rules say only PK3 but I've seen some WAD submissions for other categories recently, such as texture packs. Gothic can surely clear this up.

The Chaingun Spider looks like it's wearing sunglasses, and the chaingun looks kinda odd too. It does have it's own appeal though, maybe if it was changed into a railgun or some sort of beam weapon, which could also explain the sunglassy look

Ok, no problem. I wrote this up originally for my own project but thought I'd share it in case other people wanted it but it seems I had formatted it wrong also, since I didn't include the START and END markers. No problem.
Also, I didn't realize you were a moderator here, Gothic. I think you assisted me on how to replicate the walking sound for this over at DOOMWORLD. Hi!

😎I did a quick side-by-side comparison of the Mindweaver and the chaingun arachnotron (aka Chaingun Spider in the repo) and tbh, the beta sprites look much better, at least for this particular intent.

If the MindWeaver is added at some point, I could update the Chaingun Spider with a Quake-style super nailgun attack instead. I think that would be a decent compromise.
For future Arachnotron-type enemies, I would love to see a 'Teslatron', an electric themed spider (lightning gun? Electric shield?), and some sort of larger spider enemy that is halfway between the Arachnotron and the SpiderMastermind. 1000-1500 hp tier.

I really like that idea.
This idea I like even more. I'll look around for resources, let's make it happen! For future Arachnotron-type enemies, I would love to see a 'Teslatron', an electric themed spider (lightning gun? How about using the Riot Shotgun's ricochet rounds? If the MindWeaver is added at some point, I could update the Chaingun Spider with a Quake-style super nailgun attack instead. I think that would be a decent compromise.
