Description:
The Rocket Launcher have been sucessfully popular and good weapon for people who doesn't have ammo cells, but because it's dmg took along time to kill monsters like Spider Mastermind and Cyberdemon, UAC decided to make a prototype project that is slower but 2x stronger than Rokcet Launcher, shoots plasma rockets and uses 15 cell power. The weapon is the Plasma Rocket Launcher, It's 2x stronger than Rocket Launcher. That could fix the problems when cells run out fast and when you need to destroy Cyberdemon as fast as you could.

They already have the plasma rifle, why would they need an inferior weapon? :P


That could fix the problems when cells run out fast and when you need to destroy Cyberdemon as fast as you could.

It took me about 300 cell ammo to kill a cyberdemon while it'd only take about 200 (give or take) to kill that monster with the plasma rifle. So this weapon is not easy on one's supply of energy cells.


It tries to be a better weapon than the rocket launcher, but on the expense of the plasma rifle and its ammo.

Unless if the cell slot's is doubled, other than that, it cannot be useful than you think.

You know that It's 2x stronger than Rocket Launcher, but its also a weapon that needs more slots (Like doubling the cells for example), and also due to the infusion of Rocket Launcher and Plasma Rifle, its rockets cost 15 Cell Power. and why would you waste them all? They're good for defeating cyberdemon as fast when you finish em with rocket launcher.

Plasma Rocketer is like BFG9000, where it also needs the double slot in order to fire it more times. while BFG9000 takes 40 cells.

Other than that, It's entirely useful for some tough battle. and after the cells ran out, finish'em with strongest weapon ever possible.

I think this is fun to use, and it's definitely powerful, but I do agree that it costs a little bit too much ammo for its effectiveness--although the projectile itself does 2x the damage of the rocket launcher, the explosion damage of the projectile is the same, so it only averages out to around 50% more powerful. I think that either the explosion damage should be boosted a little more (maybe to 176 or 192), or the ammo cost should be cut slightly (to 10 cells).

I also think the sprites need a bit more work...I get the story behind the weapon, but I don't think that simply recoloring the plasma gun is really convincing (plus the pickup sprite conflicts with the actual plasma gun's pickup sprite, which I'm not sure is intentional). Maybe you could combine it together with parts of the rocket launcher, or maybe even a launcher from RoTT or something like that.

I think it also needs a bigger projectile explosion sprite than the one it's currently using--right now the sprite is kind of small compared to the size of the explosion it makes.

You really deserve a Thank You button.

I will agree for the particle explosion, Ammo Cost, the explosion damage and the sprites.. But the problem is that the sprites are recolored because it was meant to be my first noobish weapon (When the idea came I was noob in decorate). But I will try to fix the problem there.

Awesome work MagicWazard! Your pickup and HUD sprite is good! but maybe i should use the ozymandias's modified one, i need it alittle shorter... but of course giving you a credit MagicWazard (and also ozymandias LOL) :P I'm gonna use those sprites. and even if they're just a sample,

Well, if you like, I can polish up and finish off the set using a shorter-barreled version like Ozymandias suggested. It'll only have the same number of animation frames and general muzzle flash style as the rocket launcher, but it should be good enough for what you need, and luckily that will make it quicker to finish off.
