I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "perk", but what I was planning on was to just have it recoil like the rocket launcher (where it gets slightly larger as it recoils toward the player). I was also planning on tweaking a couple more things on both sprites, and adding a few more details, before calling them "done".

Could also use a less awkward name. "Plasmazooka" has a ring to it.

MagicWazard's answer:
Well, Perk is a short name for Perkistian or something like that that he made smooth animations for doom. But heh, I would like to see those sprites
NeuralStunner's Answer:
Lol, Plasmazooka? Look I know that the name "Plasma Rocketer" is awkward, so does UAC Plasmatic Rifle -_-

Sorry, but I have to side with NeuralStunner on this one--the name is a bit awkward (probably because "rocketer" isn't a real word; neither a verb, adjective, nor adverb). I don't have a real good suggestion at the moment, but I do think "Plasmazooka" is kind of cute. Otherwise you'd probably just want to call it "plasma rocket" or something equivalent ("plasma missile", "plasma torpedo", etc.).

I don't mean to be annoying, but I think just "plazooker" would be an even better name.

Got a full sprite set finished, if you would like to use it. The pickup sprite in particular has been modified, and there's now flash overlays so the end of the barrel lights up independently from the rest of the weapon.
Since the number of frames is different than before, and it now has muzzle flash overlays, I made a modified version of your original WAD with a sample of how the animations could play out.

Credits for these sprites should include Apogee (Rise of the Triad; I borrowed part of one of their missile launchers), and credit for the sprite edit should include Dolphman (who did the sprite rip from the game).
As for determining credit for the included sound effects, I believe they are both by id Software. The firing sound appears to be from Quake 3, and I think the (unused) reload sound is from Doom 3. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...

The new plasma flash is awesome, but makes the red body look even more strange. Perhaps the gun should be blue-themed instead.

I agree; I just went with the red since that's what his original was. I can easily change it to blue, if NourPrince agrees as well. (I'm thinking about tweaking it a little bit anyways to have the LEDs on the front light up only when firing.)NeuralStunner wrote: Perhaps the gun should be blue-themed instead.
