I rarely play Hexen, and if I do, I always play as the cleric, so I won't give feedback about behavior or balance. But I do have a few notes:
  • Remove the hires sprites. We don't accept those.
  • Pickup sprite: I'd suggest that the scroll is flipped back up while keeping the symbol/rune as is (upside-down, I mean) or you can change it, which would be better.
  • The weapon takes longer to raise and lower since, unlike any other weapon, it calls A_Raise and A_Lower once every two tics instead of once per tic. This also applies to A_WeaponReady in the Ready state.

Ah! Will fix that...

Edit: are you sure about the hi-res stuff? It's a part of my drawing process, so it's there by default, so I'd like people to have access to it....

Edit: Improvements made.

The pickup sprites' offsets are off; in game, the item looks like it's spawning in the ground. Also, you haven't addressed my points about the pickup as I had hoped. Here is what I suggest: using the Frost Shards' pickup sprites, flip the symbol (or change it to something else), and apply the fire effect.

Also, the sprites need to be converted to PNGs.

Yes, I'm sure. They increase the size of the file and they clash with the other stuff.

The alignment got broken when I last changed them. You're asking for alot of changes to something I made for a project I put on the back-most burner in favor of Metroid Doom right now. Honestly, I'm really happy with what it is right now, and probably won't be doing anything else to it until I'm well into the ZHexen stuff again.

I'll go in and fix that stuff for you, but is there anything that is actually preventing you from accepting this in it's current state? (Aside from the fixes I just said)

The issues I mentioned in my previous post are the only things left. Once addressed, this is going to be approved and eventually added to the repository.

Ok, I fixed the offsets again and converted them to PNG.

Edit: Waait... noticed that I put the animframes wrong in the decorate... Fixed.
