You can if you like, but I don't feel it's necessary, especially with the screenshots (unless you have a particular purpose for the videos I'm not aware of :P). I've gone ahead and marked this as "OK" for the moment, though I'll wait a few days to upload it to see if any other observations or feedback come in.

Just had a chance to give this a whirl. Heh, it's pretty neat. I think the transparency is pretty good as it is now.

The things that are possible to do with the engine never cease to amaze me. :P

Ok so heres what Ive done in terms of getting a heartbeat to sound when reaching a certain amount of health.

The sound Ive used here is from Doom3 for testing purposes, so change it to whatever you were planning on using for the sound.

Changes:

-new cvars (hb_enable, hb_starthp and hb_delay)
-new heartbeat function
-new script
-new menu options

dev side note:
Ignore the things I commented out for now, that was something for the multiplayer compatibility when that was the topic.. but it seems to be ok without it, ive kept it in for future reference just in case though.
Also, I havent done much more than a simple 2 minute test run.. so there may be bugs, there may not.

i have updated the code to type something you missed,Ian,but the latest ACC versi9on found on DRD team seriously sucks big balls and you need to recompile the code with your ACC version.I am sorry for doing that and putting you in that condition.

That code I commented out was to assign the player with a TID, so that in multiplayer each player had their own TID, so player 1 would be TID 1000, player 2 would be 1001, etc... then when the script ran, it wouldn't clash with the other players in the game... Or so I believe thats what would happen... But ignore it for now.

Also, I set the channel to auto so that it wouldnt clash with the player pain sounds and such... It compiles fine with the latest slade, which is the preferred doom editor of the community I believe... I havent tested with zandronum, and I know you use that, so to keep compatibility with that (not sure if zandronum supports chan_auto??) feel free to change it to chan_body.

I do not see a perspective for someone to see this update and publish it
