So, is the 4.2 version a few posts back the most up-to-date version?

Yes it is, but the op should be updated with the latest stuff anyway... If it has the heartbeat thing then it's good to go.

Ok, so I tried out the newest version. Honestly, I can barely hear the heartbeat, even with the music turned all the way down. You might want to bump up the decibel level of the sound effect, assuming you aren't scaling the volume somewhere in SNDINFO (or ACS?).
Also, I just noticed something that I'm not sure is deliberate--the blood splats are scaled along with the HUD message text when using the option "HUD Options > Message Options > Scale Text in High-Res". This doesn't seem like it's intentional, though I'm not familiar enough with HUD elements to say if there's a foolproof way to avoid this. If not, I'm willing to overlook this.

Ah finally, some bugs Ive overlooked... Ill adjust a few levels on the heart beat and see what I can do about it.
As for the menu text, that makes sense as the blood splats are essentially a "font" in a way... But Im sure I can find a way around it though.
Thanks for the feedback

Ok, so I've had another look at the heart beat.
Turns out that I had made a small mistake when making the sound. In the process of creating it, I had left the "sound enhancement thing" on that comes with my sound card software, which basically changes what you hear dramatically.... So when I realized, I gave it another test.. I see now what you mean about the sound being quiet... so my bad
Well anyway, Ive just recorded what Ive been hearing this whole time and replaced the original sound with that... should be much better now
As for the scaling issue, I'm going to leave it as it is for two reasons.. 1. If I were to fix it, that would confine the blood splats to a set resolution rather than utilizing the whole screen... that could also cause inconsistencies with either widescreen or square monitors... there may be a bit of math wizardry that might remedy this but that's up to reason 2. I dont really see it being that common for someone to mess with those settings anyway, so its probably pointless going through the effort to figure out the math... so Ill leave it as it is, unless someone has any ideas.

Ahh,the heartbeat sound is still heard only if the music is set to low,but overall it is good. Most things are really working, the HB ound will be heard if the users lower the music of the game,so it wont be a big effort.I think it is ready.I update it if you agree with me.

Go for it man.. If I try to bring up that heart beat volume any more than it is then it's going to start clipping (crackling because of volume being too high).

Well, I think this is damn near perfect! As long as there's no objections or suggestions from anyone else, I'll upload this in a few days. I'm thinking the repo title will be something like "Damage and Low Health Effects"; how does that sound?
